It was one of the best books that I ever read. I think that you should try it out I did and I loved it . It's about two orphans who run away from there stepparents to go to Venice. They meet up with a gang with the mistierious leader Scipio also know as the Thief Lord. But he has a dark secret I'm not going to tell you what it is you'll have to read it to find out. I thought it was as good as Harry Potter. It got 6 different awarrds. I think that you mite like it if you like adventure and magic than the thief lord is for you. So for now I bid you ado.
Book Review: Mysterious, Dark, yet Charming Summary: 5 Stars
The Story: Prosper and Bo meet a guy named "Theif Lord"- who's a master criminal in stealing. All the orphans look up to him, but he has a secret. (You'll know what i mean if you read the book.)
My Opinion: Cornelia Funke definitely knows how to write. Anyhows, it's an enjoyable read for all reading levels.
Random Note: out of all the books i've ever read, the front cover of this book actually depicts EXACTLY what you can expect inside the book - mysterious, dark, yet charming.
Book Review: Best Book Ever!!! Summary: 5 Stars
If you are looking for a very good book then the Thief Lord is the right book for you! It's a very good book and probaly my favorite. It's about some run-away children, a merry-go-round, and a boy who calls himself "The Thief Lord". If you have read this book and liked it then you would probaly like The Series Of Unfortunate Events books. Right now I'm reading Inkheart and I think that it's really good so far....though I'm only on page 7. If you like books about orphans and magic.....READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
Book Review: Touching Summary: 5 Stars
Cornelia Funke is my fave. author behind JK Rowling. I love this story so much. Prosper and Bo's mother died and their evil aunt, Esther, wants to adopt Bo and send Prosper to a boarding school. Growing up, their mother always told them great stories about Venice so Prosper and Bo go to Venice. They meet a gang of orphans who were lead by a 12 year old boy who calls himself "The Theif Lord". I'm going to shut up before I spoil the story. This is a great book, READ IT.
Book Review: Suspense, mystery, fantasy prevail! Summary: 5 Stars
A little slow to start, but by the 2nd or 3rd chapter, this book captures your attention and makes you want to keep reading. It is filled with suspense, mystery, humor, and fantasy. After I read it, I had my 13-year-old daughter (who does NOT like to read) read it. She didn't enjoy it nearly as much as my 11-year-old son, but she did have to agree it was entertaining. Small print, long book. Best for accomplished independent readers. It would also make a great read aloud.
