The Theif Lord is an enchanting book about two kids (Prosper and Bo)who run away to Venice, Italy. The city that their mother always talked about in her stories. These two kids run across four kids that are orphaned and living in a old, run down movie theater that was owned by the Thief Lord's father. (The Thief Lord is the 'leader' of the kids.) Mean while Prosper and Bo's aunt and uncle come to a detective who has never searched for human beings only important things that were lost by the tourists. The kids start to steal stuff and sell it for money in which they can by their food. One day the kids run across a deal with The Count in which they must steal something that will not only change the kids but even more people among them. Not only will it them it will change Everbody around them. I think if you like adventure some humor, a bit of fantasy and some intense parts you should read this book.Book Review: Good imagination

The Thief Lord is about a band of orphans who run around causing trouble. Bo and Prosper are the main characters. They runaway from their aunt and uncle and run into the orphans. Bo and Prosper decide to join the orphans. The title character, the Thief Lord, only comes out at night and has a terrible dark secret. Will Bo and prosper or any of the orphans find out why the Thief Lord only comes out at night? There's only one way to know for certain. Read the book.
Through the book you will find that Bo and Prosper are regular kids who runaway from their aunt and uncle because they want more in life. Bo and Prosper really have no goals, except to not get caught when causing trouble. If anybody is caught they'll go straight to the orphanage. The author Cornelia Funke makes the characters seem real and interesting to me because Bo and Prosper will do anything to fit in the group.

The Theif Lord is about some kids who live in a movie theater called "Starplace". The kids who lived there were abandoned by their parents or ran away. This book takes place in Venice where Scipio steals merchandise for money to make a living for the children. They try their hardest not to get caught by a private detective named Victor, but they do. Although Bo and Prosper are trying to protect themselves from any harm at all,Prosper and Bo are still getting tracked down by their Aunt Esther and their Uncle Max. Our favorite part in this book is when Skipio,Prosper,Bo,Hornet,and Riccio were all going to the island were Barbosa was and find something mysterious and extraordinary and touching in alot of ways. We recommend this book to anyone who likes action and adventure then this is your book.

Book Review: Better than Inkheart

The story started off quite engagingly, though I thought I'd discovered the secret right away (chapter 4!). It turns out I'd only discovered a small secret and the big one was still to come! There's also an element of reality (yes, in a fantasy book!) that struck me. Not everyone is perfectly redeemed, people don't always do the smart thing (but they also aren't made extremely stupid just to advance the plot). Sure, some of the characters are quirky, some are kinder than you'd expect, and there are certainly plot elements with no basis in reality... But that doesn't detract from how grounded the characters are in the real world. The ending isn't trite as I'd feared. All in all this is a terrific book and much better thank Funke's "Inkheart" because "the Thief Lord"'s characters take much more control of their lives.Book Review: thief lord review

The history of the thief lord is about a detective who is called to find two children. In his search he becomes friends with the children and he finds fantasy things in the city of Venecia.I like this book because it tells many stories, but all are one,the book tells about how the children find friends and how they found a boy who called himself the Thief Lord. It tells how the detective finds firends too and how hard it is to go after the children .The book has many dramas and a little bit of comedy. Some of the things that I dont like is that the story has fantasy about the history of a merry-go-around, but its not a reason not to read the book; I recommend this book because it's fun to read and because it is pretty exciting. You will like this book.
