I love the Taste of Home and have made numerous recipes from the magazines and the website, always to rave reviews. The recipes are always down to earth...stuff "real" people would eat (we are in the South). This book has so many recipes and I was pleased to find that the nutritional information is included. I like the binder format because the book stays open when I am trying to make a recipe. I also love that there are cooking tips throughout the book, as I still have a lot to learn. Anyone who loves Taste of Home will enjoy this cookbook.Book Review: Must have cookbook!

I have enjoyed the Taste of Home Magazine on and off for years, but this cookbooks is one of their best! In addition to great recipes, it has several ways of indexing the recipes, offers tips and tricks for cooking, and has several helpful charts and equivalency tables. It would make a great wedding gift because it is so inclusive that anyone from the novice to the advanced cook would enjoy it. The recipes are easy to understand and they taste great. I bought one for a friend of mine after tryng it out for myself. This one is a real winner!Book Review: Outstanding, Practical Cookbook

This cookbook is exactly what you'd expect from Taste of Home! It's easy to use, uses ingredients that you usually have on hand, and the recipes are practical -- you could use them everyday. I've bought 2 of the cookbooks. Both as gifts, but one gift is at my house -- for my husband! So we've tried quite a few recipes over the holidays and always to rave reviews. The instructions are easy also. I highly recommend this cookbook and will probably buy more as gifts.Book Review: Taste of Home does it again - 5 stars!

I got hooked on Taste of Home with their Complete Guide to Country Cooking. I can't say enough good things about these books. It's true that the pages in this one aren't as sturdy as other books I have purchased by them before, but I have had no problem with ripping. I think that with the most basic care they will be fine for years to come. The clear plastic page covers help allot. Great addition to any kitchen - buy it.

I am really impressed with this cookbook!!!! I collect them, and this is one of the best!!! Every section has great recipes. Ranging from quick and easy to meals for special occasions. Plus, there is a coupon included for a free 12 month subscription to "Taste of Home" magazine.
I would definitely suggest purchasing this for yourself, or as a gift. Excellent for the beginner or experienced.
