Book Review: A unique look at substitutions and the "bench" in athletics

I bought this book years ago and to be honest was not really quite sure what to expect when I ordered the book from the author.
Regardless of the sport coaches, this is a valuable book that addresses an oft overlooked, to the detriment of coach, player and team, aspect of sports, the "bench."
Coach Wilhelmi addresses how to use the bench in a positive manner, how to teach players to view the "bench" in a positive light, how to help players on the bench maintain hope and enthusiasm.
The book even addresses the dreaded issue of "cutting players."
My favorite chapter was about famous athletes who had been cut and how they handled the experience. This is a helpful and insightful book with lots of positive, helpful information in it.
