I am estatic that this was published. I purchased it the second I saw it. Although I've had this book a few years, I actually wore the slip cover off and now the book is starting to look a little worn. These are excellent, healthy, quick and easy recipes to follow if you need help in deciding where, when or what to eat while trying to be healthy. Just for myself or for me and my fiance, these recipes work great and we dont feel guilty for cheating a little either. We have a solid core that we follow so staying on track is easy. These are excellent healthy recipes and I would highly recommend them.

Book Review: Buy it NOW! Summary: 5 Stars
This cookbook is incredible, even if you aren't on the South Beach Diet. It just has healthy, sensible recipes that are DELICIOUS!! I've made many of the recipes, and they have been hits with my husband, which is saying a lot! He loves his carbs!!I will agree with other reviewers that this book does involve a lot of chopping. But, that's to be expected when you are cooking with fresh ingredients and avoiding processed foods. However, I have three kids, one of which is a 6 week old, and I've been able to cook the recipes. It's worth the work, trust me!
Book Review: One of My Most-Used Cookbooks Summary: 5 Stars
I have a number of diet cookbooks, but this is one of my absolute favorites that has stood the test of time. The recipes are so delicious that I've served them to guests and had them express surprise that they are healthy. I especially appreciate the chapter on vegetarian entrees as I'm a "flexitarian" who tries to eat meatless several times per week. I've also had success adapting many of the entrees calling for red meat (which I don't eat at home) to use poultry instead.
Highly recommended!
Book Review: South Beach Diet works miracles! Summary: 5 Stars
I went on the South Beach Diet in November 2005. In one year I went from weighing 280 lbs to weighing 215! My cholesterol went from 221 to 141,and my blood pressure went from 150/100 to 117/77 (with NO drugs). Also I lost 6 inches around my waist. It went from 42 inches to 36.As of May 2008, I currently weigh 212 (at 5' 11') and am trying to work my way to 195 now.I own all of the books and am one of the biggest advocates of the diet. I would recommend this book to anyone!
