Book Review: Rent or Buy DVD, Definitely Buy the Book

The book is a poocket sized close to six inches by three inches, a half inch thick. I strongly recommend that you rent or the DVD at the same time (link below) and then do what I did, watch the DVD first, and then read the book. Blockbuster has the DVD. Read my review of the book, watch the DVD, and *then* read the book.
I actually played the DVD on background while paying bills, and that persuaded me I needed to give the DVD my full attention a second time. And then the book.
The seven laws that sum up the wisdom that this important author shares and explains in detail:
1. The law of pur potentiality
2. The law of giving and receiving ("reciprocal altruism" in ecotopia)
3. The law of karma on cause and effect
4. The law of least effort (see book on path of least resistance below)
5. The law of intention and desire ("good intention" in ecotopia)
6. The law of detachment (accept when blocked, other paths open)
7. The law of dharma or purpose in life
As the son of an oil man who circled the globe annually at an early age, I would never in a million years have thought that turning down a bank job to join the Marine Corps (with an MA no less), and then becoming a spy, would have led first to creating the Marine Corps Intelligence Command, then an Open Source Intelligence company, and now a non-profit, Earth Intelligence Network, to serve the Foundations and the poor and the UN when they get around to thinking this through. This book hit me like a ton of bricks in a way, because all of what I thought was random becomes priceless. ONLY a former spy who ALSO founded a military analysis center could credibly publish three edited books on Collective Intelligence, Peace Intelligence, and Commercial Intelligence, and look CEOs and Presidents and Prime Ministers in the eye and say "The problem with spies is they only know secrets." (We spend $60B a year on the 4% we can steal, which is both lunatic and criminal).
So on a very personal level, the book and the DVD gave me closure on my failure to reform government intelligence, and validated my move to Wall Street, where "names" in the spy world will fail miserably precisely because they refused to listen or understand "open sources" since I and the Commandant of the Marine Corps started pressing the point in 1988 (the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals was formed in 1986, 21 years ago).
The DVD and the little book are going into my travel bag.
