Book Review: Started to feel change and then a traumatic life experience

I started listening to this in October every night before bed. I started feeling a positive change. Overall, I was more optimistic about my life. I was caring for my mom who was terminal and she (who was an avid Christian and would frown on anything new agey) even said she noticed a difference and encouraged me to meditate.
I was starting the sixth week (which is the minimal amount of time needed to cause a life change) and my mother got hospitalized and then transported to hospice and then I watched her die and ended up not having a place to live. I was in the hospital with my mom and therefore stopped listening to it.
Life has been very difficult. I still have no place to live but I did dig up my ipod and have started meditating again. I immediately noticed the noise in my head decrease to a hum. I am giving this another shot in the hopes that this time it will have a lasting, permanent effect.
