Book Review: Fun and learning... TOGETHER??

A hilariously told and illustrated story heart about appreciating where you are from and what you have. 'Scambled is a unique take on being in a state of discontent . Each State has its own (harmlessly and comically stereotyped) characteristics-- Wisconsin loves cheese, Texas hollers "YEEEHA!" The illustrations playfully keep your eye moving (the spreads are FULL of tiny side jokes) and the story keeps the pages turning. Lost along the way (and maybe why it's so successful) is that the reader will have learned some geography along the way. What an entertaining, engaging way to present fact and nonfiction to a child! A perfect companion to kids who are starting to learn about our country.Book Review: Great for older children

This was a little over my 5 year old daughter's head. I think she needs to have a concept of where the states actually are before she will understand why they want to be scrambled up. This book will be great once she does. There is a lot going on on each page and the states feelings about their locations are really well thought out.Book Review: Loved it!

I don't think this helped my daughter with her studies of the states. The states get mixed up and I think it is so confusing to know learn which state is which. Funny, but not helpful.
