Book Reviews of The Ralph Nader ReaderBook Review: A CHAMPION OF JUSTICE AND TRUE DEMOCRACY Summary: 5 Stars
Ralph Nader's life and activity have been devoted to fighting for the underdog in America against a greedy corporate elite and an increasingly corrupt deceitful political establishment in its service that does no longer represent the best interests of the citizenry whether with regard to the environment, guaranteed health care, education, equal rights before the law, fair pay, pension protection etc..Ralph is a talented, decent and highly inspiring American public figure who deserves to be entrusted with the power to serve the legitimate interests of the majority of the American people.
Book Review: Smart Man, Smart Policymaker Summary: 5 Stars
What this collection establishes is that Mr. Nader is not a foolish idealist but an experienced policy person in the nation's capital who understands the issues and how lawmakers recklessly undermine them. He gets results when he goes after reforms, even though the odds are usually against him. Imagine if America gave him the support and clout to do more. We need to encourage this kind of citizen soldier with our votes, and Stephen Ambrose should do a biography of him!
Book Review: Finally! The candidate 6% of American want to vote for... Summary: 5 Stars

Book Review: The Nader Reader Summary: 4 Stars
Ralph Nader brought up many important issues in this year's presidential race. Many of these are seen throughout the writings in this book and it is apparent that the problems he talks about are not recent, nor are they going to go away without any massive efforts.Nader's style is a little dry and difficult to read at times, but the points he brings up (especially in the sections on the presidency, democracy, and grassroots organizing) are vital to the progressive movement. His sections on tort reform and law practice are a little more technical and are probably best understood by those in the field. Nader has stood by his convictions from the time he started fighting GM to today. This is an excellent book that traces his numerous crusades throughout the decades and gives a boost to the future.
Book Review: Straightforward Naderisms... Summary: 4 Stars
Although this book is sort of dated by now it is still packed with detailed facts dreived from some of Naders works and speaches...regardless of whether or not you like the man, this book does present much factual and empirical backgroud to some little known events in U.S. history...If you love Nader, you'll enjoy the book. If you don't, you'll likely still learn something that you didnt know before or at least you'll have some new material for further research...you wouldn't be looking to buy this if that wasn't your aim anyway...for the price its well worth it.
