Book Review: Purpose of Dance

I have been looking for a dance/liturgical book for my church dance ministry to enjoy/learn/read together. This book is more of the author's "personal" testimony on how the Lord moved her and opened doors for her ministry. It isn't really a type of litrgical "guide" that I was looking for. There are good points in it, but I think it will be better for me/anyone to read as a dance leader, for some of the ladies that are new to the dance and need to learn the "basics" of dance, I wouldn't recommend it. One example:The author speaks about is dancing in the prophetic. I understand this, and have done it as a leader, dancing individually. But when you have a group dance setting where you want a bit of choreograph and "togetherness", the author doesn't explain "dancing prophetically" out for groups. I just envision a bit of chaos, but once again, she is mostly referring to her own "individual journey". I will have to continue to look for a book that will fit us.

Dancers are mandated to use the gift of dance to show forth God's ability to heal, deliver and set people free from the hand of the enemy.
