Book Review: A Great Kit For Small Group Or Class

I already read and enjoyed Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life. When asked by my military chapel community to lead a group study, I chose this product and was pleased with both the product and the group! The book, study guide, journal and DVD could all be used together, which we did, although they don't all come as part of this kit. We had Baptists, Catholics, Mormons, other Christians and a Japanese non-Christian in the study group and all seemed interested and pleased with the format and materials. I also appreciated Rick Warren's premise that even those who do not consider themselves Christian can ask Christ for forgiveness of their sins and accept him as their savior, which he does on video by leading through prayer. An interesting, inclusive view of Christianity and Grace! Perhaps not dogmatic enough for some, but it worked for our group.
