Book Reviews of The Private World of Tasha Tudor

Book Review: What a fantastic lady!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an absolutely wonderful book about a woman who lives her life as people did in the 1830s. She grows her own fruits and vegetables, preserves them, wears clothes that are either from the 1800s or like them, bakes her own bread, weaves, has a wonderful and lovely garden, raises birds, goats, and or course Corgis, and paints wonderful pictures for us all to enjoy. The photographs are beautiful, and the text provides some real food for thought. Really did love this book.

Book Review: inspirational woman
Summary: 5 Stars

Just love the book. I have a picture entitled "Children's Garden" hanging in my house. I had
contacted the family in April of 08 because at that time I did not remember the title.
I am saddened to learn she passed away just a couple of months after that. Her appreciation of nature, children, and animals is very touching and she was able to communicate this through
her art and writings. I'm sure she has been reunited with all her Corgis!!!

Book Review: Very Enjoyable ..
Summary: 5 Stars

Just finally got a copy of my own which I read from cover to cover just after it arrived. Although I know many things about farming, living off the land, and making our own things .. I still learned a lot from Tasha.
I would have liked to have met her in person as we seem a lot alike.
Recommending this book to all.

Book Review: What a treat !
Summary: 5 Stars

The book was a delight, and I enjoy reading it over and over. The gorgeous illustrations are a joy. Tasha has done exactly what she wanted to do in life...spend it simply, and creatively. She is such an inspiration, that I've bought several of her other books, as well as one of her videos, "Take Joy."

Book Review: old fashioned appeal--quaint and absolutely charming!
Summary: 5 Stars

This wonderful lady is a true inspiration to all. Her artwork is charming and takes one back to a time of gentile simplicity. One can't help but walk back into another time, where there is no rush, no perfection--only puristic life as our great God intended life to be!
