Book Review: A great book
Summary: 5 Stars
This is how the fifth book in the animorphs series goes: MArco has just saved an old man from being beaten up by a gang (Going against his theroy of staying uninvolved.) and just found out Aximilli wants to go home. The only problem? "Most major airlines don't fly to the Andalite homeworld." So the solution? Steal a Yeerk Bug fighter. The Animorphs, with Aximilli's help, need to develop a device to call a Yeerk ship to them, a distress beacon. To do this, Aximilli needs to get the correct components. To do THAT, he has to morph human. Once his morph has completed, he, Marco, and Jake visit Radio Shack at the mall, getting Aximilli a cup of coffee on the way. ("Taste! As-tuh! Wonderful!") After practically dragging Aximilli to Radio Shack, getting the componets, and finding Aximilli in a large crowd of people, all laughing at the nut who was running around eating everything in sight, and then dodging the mall cops, Aximilli demorphs in panic. The only problem is they are now in a grocery store, with police about to burst in, with exactly one way to get out. The lobster tank in the seafood department. (The lobster was the cover morph fo rthe Europe titles, the gorrilla for North America.) After nearly becoming a woman's lobster dinner, the enitre group gets back together, only to find out that an essential part of their device is missing. A Zero-space transponder, something humans don't have. The only way the Animorphs can figure out how to get one is to morph ants and sneak in Chapman's house. The only problem is that ants are social insects with no idividuality...I've read this book, (In two different languages.) and it's great! I can still remember getting this book on a book order and going beserk when I found out there was a iron-on decal inside. (THe decal did not appear in the French version, and I don't think it was in anywhere besides N.A.) It's really a great book. I especially liked the scene where Marco just falls down when he finds out about his family history. An! d the part with tthe dropshaft struck me as hystericaly funny too. ("I found the dropshaft. I am...dropping.") On a scale of one to ten, it's a definite ten. A must-read for any AnimorPhan out there.
