Book Reviews of The PowerScore LSAT Logic Games BibleBook Review: Step up from Kaplan Summary: 5 Stars
Overall, this book seems great. I took the LSAT in October after taking the Kaplan course, and I never really felt like I had mastered the games section. As a result, I didn't do as well as I had hoped (80th percentile, versus 90+). Already, after working through the first and second chapters the pieces are starting to fall together. We'll see in June if it paid off, but I definitely find their way of explaining things to be better than the methods in the Kaplan class.
Book Review: Best Preparation for Logic Games out there Summary: 5 Stars
After taking an entire Kaplan course -- which I don't recommend at all -- this is book is the best preparation I have seen anywhere. It simpilifies the games by giving you fundmental ways of attacking all games, and it describes to the reader the strategy of the TEST MAKERS. So you can learn how to think as TEST TAKER and conquer the Logic Games portion of the L-Sat. Awesome book. I can't recommend it enough.
Book Review: Great Strategies! Summary: 5 Stars
I've had a lot of overdue reviews to write lately that I'm doing all at once, so I'll keep this brief. I found this book VERY helpful in my prep. I worked it through cover to cover and learned a ton. My friend in my sorority was like "I can't believe you are still reading that book!" It was worth it. The practice built in is very helpful and the strategies are powerful, but not too hard to take in.
Book Review: Great book! Stay away from PR and Kaplan books! Summary: 5 Stars
Use this or Manhattan Atlas or both. Stay away from the Kaplan or Princeton review. I started with those and they messed me up.
PS and Atlas make it so an above average person can finish the section with 0-3 incorrect, barring some new game type or something ridiculous.
I prefer the PS, but like atlas for the binary games set-up it uses with two columns and arrows.
Book Review: Excellent Help Summary: 5 Stars
This book is great. Before I read through it, most of the logic games were mysteries to me. Half the time I would end up guessing the answer to a question. However, thanks to this book, I can now answer every single logic games question correctly. (The book even has advice on the best way to guess.) If you're preparing for the LSAT, you need this book.
