Book Reviews of The PartnerBook Review: The partner Summary: 5 Stars
From death to tragedy
The Partner written by John Grisham is a very intriguing book that is fast pace and kept me on my feet for the entire book. I really enjoyed the intelligent writing that kept the fascination of his readers. Patrick Lanigan a smart, growing lawyer in a small city with a soon to be rich firm steals ninety million dollars and takes off to Brazil to start a new journey. With breath taking adventures and thrilling new investigations I was incapable of placing the book down. Every moment unravels a new secret that has been waiting to be discovered since "Patrick Lanigan's death". An endless search comes to an end when half the nation at the edge of their seats waits for the verdict in eager anticipation. At first sight I was very skeptical about another tedious, dreary law book. I was once told never judge a book from its cover. Opening the book gave me great delight to be wrong. I soon realized the exhilarating excitement in the book that I was seemingly deprived of. Patrick Lanigan never failed to surprise me with the wisdom concealed in his master mind schemes. Every law suite, every allegation he knocked them off with a smirk. To gain his freedom he took the risk of his name on death row, for his freedom went hand in hand with his doom. The mystery of his mind will keep you mesmerized and if not that his story definitely will. I'm still amazed how John Grisham pulled this piece together to reveal an ending that was embraced by many readers. At the end you'll find yourself understanding Lanigan and almost at a far distance admiring a convict. I mean, everyone at one time or another feels like dropping everything and escaping to a foreign paradise.
I would really recommend this book to anyone that feels like the world is much more then going to work, school, or what the daily perspective of what "the people" think happiness is all about. The book will keep you on ends tail. Take a trip with Patrick Lanigan a smart, inspiring convict were he'll revel his adventures, secrets, and passion so that you can look through a criminal's eyes. Never judge a book by its cover it tends to be very misleading.

Summary of The PartnerThey watched Danilo Silva for days before they finally grabbed him. He was living alone, a quiet life on a shady street in Brazil; a simple life in a modest home, certainly not one of luxury. Certainly no evidence of the fortune they thought he had stolen. He was much thinner and his face had been altered. He spoke a different language, and spoke it very well. But Danilo had a past with many chapters. Four years earlier he had been Patrick Lanigan, a young partner in a prominent Biloxi law firm. He had a pretty wife, a new daughter, and a bright future. Then one cold winter night Patrick was trapped in a burning car and died a horrible death. When he was buried his casket held nothing more than his ashes. From a short distance away, Patrick watched his own burial. Then he fled. Six weeks later, a fortune was stolen from his ex-law firm's offshore account. And Patrick fled some more. But they found him. Literary slugger John Grisham returns with a story about-- surprise!--a lawyer in trouble. Patrick Lanigan had been a young partner in a prominent Southern law firm. He had a beautiful wife, a new baby girl, and a bright future. Then one winter night Patrick was trapped in a burning car; the casket they buried held nothing but ashes. A short distance away, Patrick watched his own burial then fled. A fortune was stolen from his ex-firm's offshore account. And Patrick ran, covering his tracks the whole way. But, now, they've found him.
