Book Reviews of The Other Wise ManBook Review: The Other Wiseman Summary: 5 Stars
This story was facinating. I read it to my sunday school class and they loved it. After the story they drew pictures of what they would give Jesus for a gift. The story was very easy to follow and understand. The children said that the wiseman gave the best of all gifts: he loved everyone as he would have others love him. He gave the greatest gift of all: himself.
Book Review: Great retelling of a classic story Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very nice retelling (NOTE THAT IT IS NOT VAN DYKE"S ORIGINAL STORY) of the classic story by Van Dyke. The illustrations are rich and beautiful and the retelling makes the story much shorter and understandable for younger children though the wording is not condescending so is still appropriate for older children, too. It makes it a great bedtime story.
Book Review: Relative Summary: 5 Stars
This may just be because I am related to Henry van Dyke, but, I LOVE this book! It is a very touching book. I would absolutely recommend this book for any age, 2 years or 95, you will love it!!!
