Book Reviews of The Original Rider Waite Tarot PackBook Review: Forget those psychic hotlines! Summary: 5 Stars
Don't call Miss Cleo. Get yourself this classic Tarot deck and begin finding your own answers to life's questions. Of course, I like to think of the Tarot as the "training wheels" on the bicycle of psychic development. And I purposely ignore the canned interpretations. Most of the time they are too confusing and contradictory anyhow. Just stare at the pictures and let them reveal their own story. That's the beauty of this deck. It is rich in symbolism and detail--so much so that you can look at the same card again and again and come away with a very different meaning. Of course, for the best instructions on reading the Tarot, you might also wish to purchase "Positive Magic: Occult Self-Help" by Marion Weinstein. With her book and the classic Rider Waite deck, you'll be on your way to amazing yourself as well as your friends. Sorry, Miss Cleo.

Book Review: A Must Have for the Tarot Novice Summary: 5 Stars
If you are learning Tarot for the first time, the Rider-Waite deck provides the most direct and unadorned visual basics for learning to interpret the cards. The accompanying text is not terribly helpful for the novice as it speaks to a turn-of-the century group of people who were already well versed in the symbolism of the tarot images. However, it does act as an interesting reference to the era inwhich these cards were released. The books by Eden Grey and Rachel Pollack are much better sources for the beginner.
If you're looking for images to please the eye, this deck is probably not for you, but if you're looking for a good foundation in learning the meanings of the cards this is an excellent deck, made of good stock and coated to withstand a lot of use and abuse.
Book Review: Love this deck! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first tarot deck and I must say it's fantastic. I wanted to start out with this deck, since it is the basic tarot deck. I've done countless readings for myself, family, and friends and have even turned non-believers into believers who ask me for a reader before they do anything. I connected with this deck right away and about 95% of my readings have been deadly accurate. I would recommend this deck to anyone starting out with tarot.
The Key to the Tarot booklet was a bit hard to get used to for meanings for me personally, so I use another book that helps explain the meanings of each card more in-depth.
Book Review: Instant identification Summary: 5 Stars
I have read Tarot cards professionaly since 1968 and have tried many decks of cards and The Original Waite Tarot pack is the best . Pictorally each card is very distinctly portrayed and immediately identifiable. I bought this deck for my grandaughter who is beginning to study the Tarot. She was stumped by the deck she had bought whiuch was only symbols other than the higher arcana.
I can remember, in my early days reading, writing the meanings on the cards and how time consuming that was. I was so happy when I found the Rider Waite deck.
I am 73 years old.
