Book Review: Good Book To Own Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this book to help me follow the Budwig Diet as recommended by
Johanna Budwig. (I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal Ovarian Cancer May of 2010).
I started using the diet prior to having chemo and my cancer markers had dropped dramatically before the treatment. I feel fantastic, even while having the chemo!
When researching for information about the diet, I found there were to many variations on the internet of what to eat and how to prepare the food.(With the exception being the Yahoo Group FlaxseedOil2) They are the folks who advised me to get the book.
For the most part its easy to follow, with some vague variations.
I found that reading and re reading the book is helpful and the recipes are
delicious! I use Nu Naturals Stevia instead of honey for most of the recipes.
The oleolox is unique and works well for veges and lightly frying veges.
If you are struggling with what to eat or how to prepare it, I highly
advise you buy this book. She also has a few other books that could
probably be found thru your local inter library loaning system.
