Book Reviews of The Official SAT Study Guide: For the New SATBook Review: Excellent resource for the new SAT! Summary: 5 Stars
Having taught SAT prep for years and years, I can say that this is an excellent book. I have been through pretty much every inch of it, and can wholeheartedly rate it a 5.
There are lots of books on the market, and it's confusing for people to know what to pick up. This is from the College Board, which oversees the SAT, so it's for real!
Book Review: Very Helpful Summary: 5 Stars
The Official SAT STudy Guide is an extremely helpful tool when studying for the SAT's. Inside the book are test taking strategies, explanations of every section on the test, practice questions for each section (plus answer explanations for every question) and eight fill length practice SAT's. This book is a must have for every SAT taker.
Book Review: SAT 1 Math getting close to the 1C Summary: 5 Stars
Here is an observation: The mathematics portion of the new SAT is getting closer and closer to the Math Leveel 1 test. Will you please correct me if I am wrong?
However, this book works well, as a lot of my students gave me the feedback that the tests in this book can be expected to resemble the real test.
Book Review: A necessity! Summary: 5 Stars
CollegeBoard creates the tests, and so their Official SAT Study Guide is the most useful and accurate SAT prep guide out there. The tests presented in this book are precisely what you will see on the real SAT. Unlike other guides, the questions found in this publication are of the same difficulty as a real SAT.
Book Review: WOW Summary: 5 Stars
The practice tests featured in this book
are very realistic! If you do well on the
tests provided, then you will do well on the
exam. However, it is a bit lacking in the
"prep" area. I used the Barron's vocabulary
list. But for practice tests, this book
is the best!
