Book Review: This is good. Yes.
Summary: 4 Stars
I finished this book last night after weeks of sporadic reading (I've been distracted by school and TIE Fighter), but I can honestly say it was like i was reading it with no pauses. It was a fine stand-alone novel, but not perfect. Everyone was well characterized, and Kueller was a really sadistic, if not quite silly, villain. That leads to my first gripe: his method of genocide seemed too easy; why hadn't any villain thought of something so trivial before? Also, this was thwarted a bit too easily in one move. Secondly, Kueller himself was defeated by Leia in a very strange manner, in a manner similar to Revenge of the Sith. In the brief resolution, she hardly thought anything of it, and I can't remember it being mentioned in future novels, even though it is quite significant. Lastly, the brief, lifeless sentences Rusch writes are just amateurish. You'll see what I mean.
Overall great, but not without its flaws.
