Book Reviews of The Napping HouseBook Review: Get the Large Board book of this Summary: 5 Stars
The pictures in this are beautiful. However, I bought just the regular board book version of this, and you just can't appreciate the pictures enough. Try and get the large board book version if possible. The other book "Piggies" by Audrey and Don Wood is excellent in the large board book version as well. My 2 1/2 yr old girl loves both books.
Book Review: We loved this book! The Napping House wins in this house! Summary: 5 Stars
I read this book to my 3 year old in the afternoon and then to my 5 year old at bed time. My little one remembered the whole book and started reciting the lines with me. Then the older one wanted to do it too. The first day we had this book we read it 7 times - until I was too tired to read anymore. They would have listend to it 100 times!
Book Review: Childhood Revisited Summary: 5 Stars
My school's librarian read this book to my first grade class in 1986. I still remember it to this day. My husband and I are expecting our first child, and this book without a doubt is going on our registry. It's so cute. The illustrations still stick out in my mind many years later (I am twenty-four). A must-have for children!
Book Review: A good book for a nap Summary: 5 Stars
This book is beautifully drawn and beautifully written. The characters inhabiting a house, from the granny to the flea, at first nap together, then wake. The text is rhythmic and lyrical and captures many different words for sleep. The characters are simple, but appealing and happy. A nice book for sharing.
Book Review: Beautiful Illustrations Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this book primarily for the illustrations. They are absolutley magnificant. The story is fun too. I was disapppointed that this was the small hardbook for younger children. I thought it was the larger size. I recommend purchasing the larger size to appreciate the illustrations.
