Book Review: An oft repeated giggle fest

My girls made me read this book every night for months on end. Even at a very young age, my youngest had the words memorized and "read" with me every night. The pictures are well-drawn and colorful as they show the domino effect of one little flea bite. As my girls get older I will always have warm memories of watching them giggling over a story they have heard over and over. A definite must have for all kids.Book Review: Napping House is NO Snore

My 4 month old LOVES this book. I think it must have something to do with the repetitive text. He literally screams with delight from start to finish. It's also fun to point out the foreshadowing in the illustrations. Apparently, it's just too exciting to lull my guy into sleep. I don't wanna give away the ending (snicker) - but reading this book is a perfect ritual for waking up from naptime.Book Review: Kids love this book

We just adore this book. Well, we pretty much love anything by Audrey and Don Wood. The story is so sweet. And as a co-sleeping family it is nice to see everyone end up in grandma's bed. Plus the detail in the pictures is so stunning. Watching how the weather changes out the window, the flea moving around the room, all the characters expressions... just great.

The book is full of detailed pictures that allow for discussion with your child and the story is told in a repetitive refrain which young children love--since they know what is coming.The book contains child humor such as a wakeful flea who bites a mouse who scares the cat!
