Book Reviews of The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke

Book Review: Practical, easy-to-understand, and relevant
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book during my senior year of college because I realized I didn't have a good understanding of personal finances and what it takes to be financially secure. Specifically, I knew about 'the power of compounding interest' and all the advice people give about, for example, opening an IRA at an early age, but I didn't understand the details. Suze Orman's YF&B book helped explain investing (and lots more) in an easy-to-understand way that is very relevant for 20-somethings.

Although I found her chatty, informal style a little annoying at first, I grew to appreciate it because it made her book useful in steps: I didn't have to sit down and read the whole thing to get something out of it.

Overall, I highly recommend this book for 20-somethings (esp. recent college grads) who want a primer on personal finance.

Book Review: Suze Rocks!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book on the advice of a friend. I let it sit around for about 6 months before I actually picked it up and read it.

I had no clue what I was missing. Since reading this...I've been addicted to Suze. Her advice is easy to understand, she has a great deal of knowledge and the perfect amount of humor.

This book talks about everything us Young, Fabulous and Broke folks need to know! I'm already on the road to recovery.

THANK YOU SUZE! Keep writing books, I'll buy them.

Book Review: Excellent, Concise Information or great to use as a financial review!
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is hands down one of the best financial books out there. It teaches you how to avoid the pitfalls of money that so many of us are ignorant to and prepares you in your young adult life for a "Young, Fabulous, and RICH" retirement! This woman really knows what she's talking about!!! It's also great to have as a financial resource in your library or even to read as a review if you've been out of touch with personal finance options recently. A+++++++

Book Review: Great book!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was easy to read. I liked the format. It had some great tips on retirement, credit cards, and auto purchasing that I will definitely be using. My only dislike was that she assumes all of her Y, F, & B readers are all college graduates who are just starting off and will eventually be making a decent salary. What about young adults who left school without finishing their degrees and are stuck making barely over minimum wage?

Book Review: Fabulous book!
Summary: 5 Stars

I checked this book out of the local library, seeking a little financial advice. I liked it so much that I bought a copy for each of the college interns working at our CPA firm this spring. This book is great for those just getting a start in the world. Had I had this book at age 20, I might not be fighting to pay off so much debt today. Also has info useful for those who are not-so-young anymore.
