The author took a straightforward approach to the bible, covering a selection of the stories in order as they appear in the Book itself. A few noteworthy books are left out, such as Job and Ecclesiastes, but this accords with the historical narrative the comic tries to create. The characters here have all the cunning and intrigue of their biblical origins--many lines are directly quoted passages. The comic also provides references at the feet of many pages, encouraging readers to return to the appropriate source verses. This isn't much of a devotional text--the Magna Bible covers the stories of the original, but places little emphasis on the religious relationship of the Jews and their God, of Jesus and his flock. Instead, the authors focus on battles and conflict, as may be expected.Book Review: Manga for teens?

This is a beautifully illustrated book....it may be a good way for non-church, spiritual parents to introduce older children or teens to the concept of Jesus Christ and the Old Testament. Told in comic-story format, it's a pretty easy read, and of course the pictures lend a dramatic sense of urgency to the tales. Well done.Book Review: Interesting to say the least...

Fun to read, and to use your imagination. I wish it covered more stories of the Bible. My favorite fact is that it tells the story in chronological order, which if someone were to try to do by reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, they wouldn't be able to w/o some historical background.Book Review: Beware...my book arrived damaged

Amazon won't let me leave a feedback for this, so I'm writing review instead. The book itself is great, just like all the other positive reviewers said. I only wanted the rest of you know, that mine arrived damaged with missing and torn out pages. Not happy at all.....
