Book Reviews of The Man Who Ate EverythingBook Review: Great book if you love food! Great book if you don't love food. Summary: 5 Stars
I enjoyed every one of the essays in this book and have cooked a number of the recipes. The writing was delightful, and I laughed out load a number of times. I would recommend this to anyone who loves food! My husband "borrowed" it and I think he laughed even louder than I did.
Book Review: Brilliant! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a wonderfully creative and fabulous book. Jeffrey Steingarten infuses his writing with contagious passion. He approaches each subject with such verve and from a perspective only he could invent. It's a great read for anyone who has a sense of humor or loves food!
Book Review: If you can't eat it, read it! Summary: 5 Stars
I subscribe to VOGUE magazine primarily to get Steingarten's monthly food column. His essay on Parmesan brought tears of longing to my eyes, and his search for the perfect hors d'oeuvre 'cake' was a hoot. I am glad he's collected some of his gems in this book.
Book Review: The best TV Food host on the air also has a book Summary: 5 Stars
I recently discovered New York Eats on local television's Metro channel. Jeff & Ed Levine make a fine pair. Jeffrey Steingarten is as witty and intelligent in his book as he is as a host. The book is jam packed full of fun food facts and recipes.
Book Review: A food obsession-of-the month diary Summary: 5 Stars
A fun read for any foodie, especially one who likes to understand, eat - and cook - quality food, though not necessarily expensive food. Not a cookbook, but has a few recipes, with good stories to make you want to try 'em.
