Book Reviews of The MammyBook Review: I could hear all their voices Summary: 5 Stars
From the first paragraph I was hooked! I began at 6:30 a.m. on a beautiful Saturday morning, went through a pot of coffee and finished up at 2 p.m. It was worth sacrificing a sunny day to complete this book in one sitting. Please Brendan let there be more books about the Brownes.
Book Review: hysterical Summary: 5 Stars
My husband thought there was something wrong with me because I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face as I read this book. If you need a pick-me-up, this is the book to do it. No matter how down you are, you can't help but laugh so hard your stomach hurts while reading it.
Book Review: Brendan O'Carrol has a great knack for the Irish wit. Summary: 5 Stars
A must read book especially if you are Irish. The irish wit and humor is throughout the book. Thank God there is more to come, hated to finish the book. The Irish sure have a way of laughing at their own misery. Brendan O'Carroll makes the reader feel they are a part of it.
Book Review: The Mammy Is an Excellent Story Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent book. I never laughed out loud when reading a book before, but this book will make you burst with laughter. It's really well written..Make sure you read all three books in this trilogy. The second is ok, but the third is completely fabulous.
Book Review: hilarious- a real dubliners' read Summary: 5 Stars
If you are from Dublin, the northside of course, you will really get a kick out of this book, typical of Dublin in the sixties, with the money lenders, hard times, yet, everyone made it thru'. O'carroll really made it with this book and the 2 that followed.
