Book Reviews of The MammyBook Review: Thank you Brendan O'Carroll! Summary: 5 Stars
Delightful beginning for his funny, bawdy, heart warming series containing three books. Donada Peters brings the robust characters to life. After reading or listening to The Mammy, you'll agree that The Chisllers and The Grammy are a must read too. Each book stands alone. If you want three time the laughs, get all three!
Book Review: Great Story Summary: 5 Stars
I happened upon this book by accident but it was a wonderful surprise! As the granddaughter of an Irish immigrant I saw alot of my grandmother and mother in this story. It inspired me to read the next four novels in the series, as well as learn more about Irish history. Has become one of my favorite novels to date.
Book Review: Laugh Out Loud Summary: 5 Stars
This book is a riot! Once the reader gets past some rather salty language, Agnes Brown and her flock will leave you falling for the endearing characters, laughing out loud, and wanting more. Read the series. The saga continues. My only regret, this author stops after three books. I want more of the Brown clan!
Book Review: An Absolutely Hilarious Fun Summer Read Summary: 5 Stars
This book is incredibly funny and entertaining. When I saw the cover, I was expecting it to be be another book about a destitute Irish family. Boy was I wrong! The family is rather poor, but "the mammy" doesn't let that get in the way. They are a happy bunch. I laughed my way through this book.
Book Review: I want a hard cover for my library! Summary: 5 Stars
Absolutely fabulous work! I picked this book up at the airport on one of my business trip and could not put it down. If you want learn to appriciate lives outside the USA fishbowl, you ought to read this book. If you don't want to poison your mind with harsh reality then don't bother.
