Book Reviews of the The MS Recovery Diet

Customer Review: random psuedoscience
Summary: 2 Stars

I'm surprised this book got such good reviews. It is centered around a extremely restrictive diet that has helped a few people with MS, and their stories. Its really not very practical and I doubt will work for many people as well as it has for the author, I didn't notice much of a difference personally.

There are also a ton of psuedoscientific claims in this book that aren't explained very well or backed up in any way. It would be better if there was more detailed explanations, and less of peoples personal stories, which by the way take up almost half the book. Also the section on supplements is really lacking detail (which is odd in a book focusing on diet).

Some of the recipes don't look to bad though, I haven't tried any yet. There's a section with exercises too, but really there should be diagrams / pictures to go along with them.

Overall its an ok book if you are looking for some gluten-free, dairy-free, legume free, and also egg-free recipes, but outside of that, its mostly a disappointment, and at close to 400 pages, far too long and disorganized.
