Book Reviews of The Little PrinceBook Review: the little prince represents our world Summary: 5 Stars
I felt that the Little Prince represents many aspects in our world. I believe this book would be a great book for teachers and parents to read. If I could require teachers and parents alike to read a book this would be it. I felt that this story helped me to see children in a different perspective. It also helped me to see the world around us differently through the eyes of a child. Please read this book. Even though the book may seem like it is not for you, please give it a try it has a lot of deep thoughts hidden within its pages.
Book Review: One of The Absolute Best Summary: 5 Stars
I recommend everyone who ever has the chance to read this book to take advantage of it. For such a simple yet imaginative character/setting outlay it has one of the deepest meanings of any other book or novel I have ever read. You see the world in a completely different light when the author unfolds the Little Prince's outlooks on life. I was suprised to find what a wide range of emotions are felt in this bit of text- for it even brought me from complex thinking, to tears, to sweet satisfaction, and a deep down stiring of the soul.
Book Review: a very touching journey into the heart of a young boy Summary: 5 Stars
I do not know what else to add to such inspiring reviews. All I can say is that The Little Prince is an incredible story, not just for children but for adults as well. I have read this book many times throughout my life, and each time I find some new significance or truth in it. My mother handed her copy down to me, and I know that I will hand it down to my child. This is a book that can not be held by the constraints of time or circumstance. It will continue to touch the lives of its readers for many years to come.
Book Review: When little means BIG, real BIG! Summary: 5 Stars
I first got hold of this book when I was 16. An age when life somehow turns turbulent for no reason at all. It has been my "Guide to Life" since. Now I have the French, Dutch, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Swedish, Portugees, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese and Tagalog (Philippine) versions of the book. If only all the children in this world would have the chance to read - and appreciate - this book, then they will finally have the chance to grow up as human beings.
Book Review: The Book That Touched Me Summary: 5 Stars
The Little Prince is a book that will change your life. It is philisophical, but not presumptuous; it is thoughtful, but not exhaustingly so. St-Ex (as we called him in my French class in Israel, where I first read the book) has established a beautiful balance. In the shapes of a small boy and a grown man who refuses to be a "grande personne," he puts forth some of the most lucid philisophical insights I have ever encountered. You must read this book, for life and for love.
