Book Reviews of The Little PrinceBook Review: This is the best book I ever read. Summary: 5 Stars
I do not really like to read books, I am more likely the music lover type of the person. I read this book when I was in grammar school, probably I was about 12 or so. And I fell in love with this book since then. I am not sure if I understood it totaly, so I decided to go back to it and read it again. And what I found was that every time I was reading it I found new interesting things in this book which I haven't find before. I read it few times already, and I am still looking forward to reading it again. The second thing is that "Little Prince" thought me a lot of things that I should look for in a life, espacially love...
Book Review: a suggestion Summary: 5 Stars
I hope if you are reading this, that it means you have already heard of or read this delightful book. It is lovely and by no means just a children's book. I have learned, though, that there is now a second translation of this story. The first translation was by Katherine Woods, and in my opinion it is superior to the more recent translation by Richard Howard. Woods captures the feel and character of the prince and narrator far better than Howard's, whose translation seems merely an attempt to make money by retranslating a classic. I seriously recommend you read and buy the Woods translation rather than the most recent.
Book Review: Read this book, then read it again Summary: 5 Stars
A truly magical story--Not only is this a wonderful story to read to your children at night, it is a remarkable story that brings each one of us back to the imaginative days of childhood, where things are new in our eyes and worthy of appreciation. I suggest leaving this book on your own nightstand, as well as your children's, to remind yourself of what the world looks like through the eyes of a child. The story will bring you to tears and cause reflection within your own life, as well as make you smile at the innocence and happiness of the little prince. (Read it in the original language too, if possible)
Book Review: TLP-it is such a secret place :0) Summary: 5 Stars
The Little Prince is by far the most sensitive, endearing, thought provoking, simple but complex book that I have ever had the pleasure to read. I think it is most certainly a book for adults. It is my favorite gift to give my friends. I know I know, what a terrible thing to say considering the whole subject matter of the book. But, ever teeny tiny phrase in this book needs to be loved, cherished, and most importantly taken to heart. This book says just about everything that needs to be said about life. What a man Antoine De-Saint Exupery must have been :0)
Book Review: The most beautiful book I have ever read. Summary: 5 Stars
The Little Prince is one of the best books I have ever read. It is truely a beautiful book, more precious or brilliant than any diamond. It is a book that will become a cherished treasure. It literally will change your life, and change your persetion of the world. I was struck while reading the reviews of The Little Prince, as to how universally love it is. It seems to touch on the very essense of life, and love. Happiness, and contentment can be found in the simplest things in life, and in the end that is all that really matters.
