Book Reviews of The Last Full MeasureBook Review: Brings the End alive Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great writer who is able to follow in his father's footsteps and make the civil war come alive for you. You get a good understanding of the dynamics between both sides and cry for the plight of the southern soldier who was starving and shoeless.
Book Review: The tragedy of the South, the pain of the North Summary: 5 Stars
Great conclusion to the story of the Killer Angels, especially paired with Gods and Generals. Represents the angst felt at the end of the war very well, with characters who have strength, honor and sadness for where the war has lead them.
Book Review: OUTSTANDING Summary: 5 Stars
I THOUGHT THIS WAS AN OUTSTANDING BOOK THAT REALLY BROUGHT TO LIFE WHAT THE SOLDIERS OF THE CIVIL WAR WENT THRU, AND TRIUMPHS AND TRIBULATIONS OF BATTLE. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE, IT IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ.
Book Review: Another super read Summary: 5 Stars
As good as his father's book. Makes history fun and sad too. What a horrible waste of a war.
600,000 dead and all Americans. These books should be required reading in any American history class. Very highly recommended.
Book Review: The last full measure Summary: 5 Stars
This was the best book on the Civil War I have ever read and I have been an avid reader on the subject since the late 1960s. It was written like a novel but very factual. Excellent reading
