Book Review: Witchly Wicked!
Summary: 5 Stars
From the very first chapter, Blair pulls you in. How can you not wonder if Melody is a witch? Shes got Gold stars painted on her purple front door. It is after all Salem. Only reason Logan would leave his son Shane with this crazy woman is because his long time friend/mentor highly recommended her. From Shane's very first afternoon with Melody, he fell in love with her, and she fell for him. It was only a matter of time before dad followed.
Its hard to tell if Melody had casted a spell or if it was just her 'charming' personality that made everyone around her love her. Not only did Logan, Shane, Melody's new boss, and millions of New England viewers fall for her, but I did too. Shes such a cute loveable character, how can you not cheer on her steamy romance with Logan. The fact that she hosts a cooking show, with not an ounce of cooking talent, just adds to the comedy when all kinds of things go wrong on the first episode.
Will they or wont they keeps you guessing up until the very last page. Their love affair seems too wrong when they are constantly interrupted in their makeout sessions. Not to mention the fact that Melody doesn't want to be a wife or a mother especially to a "suit", and Logan doesn't want someone as unpredictable as he thinks Melody is.
The plot is laced with witchly fun and halloween disasters. Reading this book definately brings me back to my child hood in the North East, and Im sure those who have never been will be taken there too. Now that we are grown up, its hard to remember how much fun halloween was, but Melody brings us to a place where the magic of halloween lives on everyday.
Definately an awesome read. This is the first of Annette Blairs books that Ive read, but you can bet it wont be the last.
