Book Reviews of The Keepsake: A NovelBook Review: Be aware: This is the same book as Gerritsen's 'Keeping the Dead' Summary: 4 Stars
First I'd just like to say that I love all of Tess Gerritsen's work. I just can't get enough of her books. I really enjoyed this story as well. You won't be bored or tempted to put the book down, as she keeps you interested until the very end. However, I had already read 'Keeping the Dead'; and when I came across this book, 'The Keepsake' I thought I had overlooked a new book and was anxious to read it. However, I soon learned as I began reading the story that this was the same story as I had already read, but with a different title: 'Keeping the Dead'. Just be aware before you purchace the two mistakenly as I did.
Book Review: Suspenseful Read Summary: 4 Stars
This book held my attention from the first page and never really let go. I appreciated how the story unfolded, how we slowly learned the truth about the events in the opening chapter, and how we watched the detectives unravel the mystery. This is the first Tess Gerritsen novel I've read so I'm not familiar with these characters, but I never felt like I needed to have read the other books to understand their lives. If I felt it was a little obvious who was ultimately behind the murder plot, I still was riveted to the story and its outcome.
Book Review: Egypt/Murder/Hiding/Museum Summary: 4 Stars
This was a good book, shocking that Maura didn't have a huge part in this book, but I really liked Josephine & Medea. The bond, running, and looking over your shoulder constantly. The book had a number of twists and turns and it was really good. Where do these authors pick up these ideas for their next pyschopaths??? LoL Can't wait for her next book!!
Book Review: Intrigue and Educational Summary: 4 Stars
Fast-paced, suspensful, pages practically turn themselves!
Book goes beyond being a mystery - a great deal of information is conveyed: Egyptian burial methods, what constitues a bog, etc.
Characters have a depth and the conversations have a natural flow.
Book Review: BACK TO TOP FORM Summary: 4 Stars
