Though some of the episodes included on this set sound very primitive, compared to later Jack Benny episodes, the basic elements are there: Jack's stinginess, vanity, his Maxwell, and his cast puncturing his ego. The funniest episode on this set is the one in which Jack tries to get Barbara Stanwyck to do his show. It's an almost perfect show. No radio lover should be without this set!
