Book Reviews of The Invasion (Animorphs #1)Book Review: I want my son to read all of them! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a parent of an 8-year-old boy. He reads well enough, but I've been trying to get him to be genuinely excited about reading. Animorphs is the first book he has ever read that he couldn't put down! He set his alarm clock earlier in the morning so he would have more time to read before school. I've looked through the book and I like what I see. There is real plot development, character development, and good descriptive writing. This book proves that children's books can be well-written, and contain ideas and concepts of value, and still be remarkably attractive to kids. Every parent of kids ages 8-9+ should introduce their kids to this series. Good work, Katherine Applegate!!!
Book Review: Great for relaxing: an easy-read Summary: 5 Stars
This is the first book in a great series. I am proud to say that I am the owner of every single Animorphs book Ms. Applegate has written. It is a serious idea mixed in with a little comedy. . .I use these books to relax because they're such easy-reads. The characters can be easily identified with: Rachel (the psycho-warrior), Marco (the comedic one), Jake (the mature leader), Tobias (a wimp-turned warrior, a casualty of war), Cassie (the moral, peaceful one). Some may feel that the endings to these books are 'incomplete', but if you read on, the feeling of wholeness comes along. Great for anybody who wants to relax and get away from the real world for a while.
Book Review: 5 normal kids get the power to morph. Summary: 5 Stars
Five kids, Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie and Marco are walking thru a contruction site one night and they see a spaceship land. An alien comes out and he tells them that he is an andalite and he is dying. He gives them the power to morph-to become any animal that they can absorb DNA from. Then a Bug Fighter lands and Visser Three morphs into a monster and gobbles him up. Marco hopes it is a dream. Later on in the story Tobias comes over to Jakes house and shows him that he can morph into his cat, Dude. Then Jake morphs into his dog, Homer. Later on they go down to the yeerk pool. What is a yeerk pool? You may wonder. Read the book to find Review: The story that started it all Summary: 5 Stars
I can't tell you what my name is or even where I live. These are the opening words for series of 54 books that take the reader for a wild ride. K.A. Applegate the author of this series puts you in all the characters shoes through the use of great details and personal thoughts. The fate of the word is in the hands of 5 normal teenage kids. Well there not so normal because they have been given the amazing power to morph into any animal. They use this power to fight the evil Yeerks with hopes that the Andalites will come to save the day. These book take you for a ride that you share always remember as the world rest in the hands of 5 kids.
Book Review: Wow!!!! The Animorphs are very Cool!!! I see a yeerk! Not! Summary: 5 Stars
I have every Animorphs Book and I think Applegate is a cool writer. He has a good imagination. In this book five kids: Marco, Rachel, Tobias, Jake and Cassie went walking home together and they saw an alien spaceship land on an empty construction sight. A dieing Andalite (a good alien) came out and told them about the invasion of the evil yeerks and gave them the power to morph. At first it felt like a dream, but then they realized it was real and started to fight against an evil Yeerk called Visser 3. What will happen next? Bye Courtney Haven
Thats not my real name. I don't want the yeerks to get me.
