Book Review: Animorphs Rulz!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
I know, you're probably wondering..."What's with this kid? The Invasion came out in June 1996 and now it's June 1998." Well, I finally got it! It's great. You *have* to read this. It's the beginning of a terrific new series. Let's hope it's going to be Animorphs Forever in the year 2000! :-) This book was a Jake book. On the cover he morphs a green anole lizard, if you didn't know. In the beginning, Jake's talking about the night at the construction site. I finally found out how Elfangor was killed. Visser Three morphs an Antarean Bogg...whatever that is. His morph bites Elfangor and eats him up. Some Taxxons came forward to eat the *leftovers*. But then Marco ruined everything. He threw up. A Hork-Bajir heard and looked at their hiding place. The Animorphs ran. They split up. Somehow they escaped safely. In the morning, Tobias goes to Jake's house. Jake finds out Tobias did his first morph: a tabby cat; his cat Dude. Jake doesn't believe Tobias until Tobias does morph... When Tobias demorphs, he stands naked in Jake's room...but quickly puts on his clothes. Then Jake decides to do his first morph: his dog Homer. Jake is called a bad dog and is miserable. LOL The gang hooks up at Cassie's Barn. (I know, I'm making it sound like the Animorphs are a gang) They see Cassie make her grand appearance as a horse. She demorphs, but isn't naked. (I guess that part's supposed to say that girls are smarter than boys) She's wearing tights or something. But then a police car pulls by. He sees the Animorphs hiding something. When they step aside, he sees...Cassie, fully human. The officer is a human-Controller and says he knows Tom, Jake's brother who's also a Controller. The Animorphs take a vote wheter they should quit or fight. They chose fight. Rachel sticks up for Tobias. (ooooooooohhhhh) Marco and Jake play computer games. Tom comes in. When he goes out, Marco says he's a Controller. Now this is the part I like: ::I swung my fist and caught Marco in the side of the head:: ::He jumped back and I sw! ung again. But Marco was quick. He dodged my second swing, and I slipped and went down:: I thought the Animorphs weren't violent. Isn't that the reason why Cassie *quits* in #19? What would she do if she knew her boyfriend was taking swings at his best friend? Anyway, back to the story. Tobias flys in in his second morph: red-tailed hawk. Again he's naked. I don't know about you people, but I'm just waiting for the Animorphs TV show to see how they'll cover up the Animorphs being naked. KA makes the Animorphs seem gay. I mean Jake and Marco help Ax dress up in that book, I forgot which. I think it's #4 when they discover Ax. Marco and Jake find out Tobias has *secrets*, but Tobias tells them what War Prince Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul told him. Soon, Jake does his lizard morph. He did it on Monday morning. I can't believe he morphed in his locker. Them a gross thing happened: he ate a spider! Also, *his* tail got caught under a shoe. (By that time he was out of his locker) Looking backwards, Jake sees his tail got snapped off. And the thing was, it was still moving! He spies on Chapman....and follows him into the Yeerk pool. (theme song for Mission Impossible now playing) The Animorphs gathered at the mall. They start arguing and that's when Marco comes up with *the* word: Animorphs. The Animorphs go to The Gardens. Marco acquires a gorilla. Then they get caught. Theu start running. Jake and Marco end up in a habitat...of the Siberian tiger. You have to admit this part's funny, ::I squatted down on my haunches:: ::My butt touched something warm:: LOL A male Siberian tiger was behind him. Jake acquires him. Then they run. But the next day something bad happpens. Cassie's missing. They go to the Yeerk pool and find Cassie and lots of Controllers. The policeman had captured her. Again they get caught, this time by a man. But Rachel's becoming the African elephant which she acquired. Then the battle begins. They try to escape, but then they see Visser Three. Vis! ser Three morphs an 8-headed thing....that shoots fireballs. Yes, the Animorphs escape. But now the sad part: poor dweeby Tobias is now a nothlit; he's trapped in his morph forever. And that's where Jake's story ends. One more thing, but it's not Animorphs books related. I LIKE SPOILERS, AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE BOOKS. BUT SOME PEOPLE DO LIKE SPOILERS BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO BE CLUELESS ABOUT WHAT'S HAPPENING. I BET NOT EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THE NEW ANIMORPHS' FIRST MORPH WILL BE A GOLDEN EAGLE. SEE, THERE ARE GOOD THINGS ABOUT SPOILERS. SO IF ANYONE DOESN'T LIKE SPOILERS SHUT THE **** UP AND JUST DON'T READ THE STUFF!!!!
