Book Reviews of The Hollow (Sign of Seven Trilogy, Book 2)Book Review: So, So Good Summary: 5 Stars
I should probably feel bad that I ignored my husband and children for seven straight hours while I read THE HOLLOW, the second book in Nora Roberts' THE SIGN OF SEVEN trilogy.
I don't.
Seriously, once you start in on this story, featuring Fox O'Dell and Layla Darnell, which is even better than the first book, you won't be able to stop reading. Of course, I'll no doubt say that the third book in the series, which doesn't come out until December (the horror!!), is even better than this one, but I'll deal with that when it happens.
Fox, Cal, Gage, Layla, Quinn, and Cybil are all back, all working to prepare themselves to destroy the demon that will be coming to do his dirty work during The Seven (see first book for definitions, as I'm not going to tell you!). There's more evil, more horror, and more information learned this time around. Basically, it's the first book amped up a bit.
Trust me, you want to read THE HOLLOW. You want to ignore your husband and children for a few hours. You want to scream when you realize you're not going to get the rest of the story for seven more loooong months.
Book Review: Definitely Not "Hollow" Summary: 5 Stars
Ms. Nora all I can say is... You've Done It Again! After reading Blood Brothers I couldn't wait for The Hollow, pre-ordered it and still couldn't wait, ran out Tuesday and bought it (^secretly has double n triple copies of nora books stashed throughout the house for that quick fix). What can I say I'm a sucker for a fabulous book. Fox and Layla bring out the best in people. Fox with his giving ways and Lalya with her ordered thinking and newly found gift. For all of you who want the/a raunchy quick fix for the wild side of sex, then pick up something different. This book portrays the lights and darks of life, love and humanity. In a place where true Evil wishes to reign supreme, love and friendship hold it at bay, slapping it in the face just by living and doing what needs done. I absolutely cannot wait for The Pagan Stone in December
Book Review: Another Great Nora Roberts Book Summary: 5 Stars
If you have never read a Nora Roberts book you are just missing out on the best author alive today. I reccomend anything by this author you just can't go wrong. If you want to read one of her trilogies make sure you read them in order. If you like futuristic suspense pick up a J.D. Robb novel. Start with the first book and read the entire series in order, it's a great escape. I read Nora Roberts to escape from the hectic pace of my life and take a little mini trip into a land she has created in the pages of her latest best seller. Nora's characters leap off the page and you get the feeling that you may run into one of her characters when you step out of your home. I have not loved all of her books but her worst book is a masterpiece compared to about 80% of the authors that are publishing today.
Book Review: What can I say.. Summary: 5 Stars
This is the second book in a triology. The first book sets up the background and sets the stage for the first set of characters. Unlike other reviews I found that the background was more important because the characters continue into the next book. I think people who are giving so so reviews are loosing sight of the fact that it's a ficitional book. If you read all the same type of book all the time(especially by the same author)and you start to analyze and look for similarities you will find them. Read the book with spirit in which it was written. A ficitional story. I have this book as well as the first one and I love both of them, and I can't wait to read the last book. I will read it more than once.
Book Review: Love this new trilogy Summary: 5 Stars
This is a wondeful book. I really enjoy how Mrs. Roberts has written this book. She did not do backgrounds on all of the characters like in many of her books. She reveals details as each of the couples "pair" off. This book is about Fox and Layla. These two really are great people. Very emotional for Layla as Fox has lived with his gifts for 21 years. I really suggest reading this book and the first one. I really enjoyed it, read it one day, just could not put in down. The Hollow (Sign of Seven Trilogy, Book 2)
