Book Reviews of The HobbitBook Review: Dillon's review on The Hobbit Summary: 5 Stars I think The Hobbit was one of the best books I have ever read. I liked the way the setting was put into it's place. I also liked the characters and their own unique personalities. If there is going to be a movie that will be a (must have).
One day a wizard named Gandalf came to a town they call the Shire. He was there on urgent business and had to find a certain hobbit(small people that didn't wear shoes) named Bilbo Baggins. The Bagginses were known to not ever go on adventures or do anything bad. Soon he came to the door of Bilbo and he knocked on the door. Bilbo came outside in a hurry and Gandalf was talking to him about a meeting that would happen the next day at Bilbo's house.
The next day a whole bunch of dwarves and Gandalf came over. This was now called the secret mission, for they were planning to go to the Misty Mountains to kill Smogg an evil dragon that killed a lot of dwarves and took their mountain.
In the next couple of days they were off. They had many hardships and fought through a lot of trouble including: elves, goblins, smogg, wolves, and spiders.
What happens next.......... well you'll have to read that yourself.

Book Review: Full of Enchanting Adventures Summary: 5 StarsThe Hobbbit is a great Fantasy book. It gives the reader a sense of excitement and enjoyment. I recommend it to a person willing to keep their mind open to all types of books
Book Review: This story defines what "fantasy" is all about. Fantastic ! Summary: 5 StarsI've always had an interest in the "Days of Merlin" and the fantasy that went with it, at least that's the time of earth that I invisioned with this story. This book tells the tale of a ordinary Hobbit and his Dwarf companions on a trek to a very far off Lonely Mountain to reclaim a long lost treasure that has and still is guarded by the famous dragon, Smaug. The story describes the places, peoples, creatures and dangers that they encountered on their long journey. It's a terrific story and it gives one the opportunity to picture in ones mind these incredible places, peoples and creatures through your own immagination as you read the descriptions layed down by the author. I found myself constantly checking the maps in the book just to see where Bilbo and his commrades were at and going to next. I look forward to continuing the rest of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy as "The Hobbit" was a necessary prelude to the rest of the story. I was originally turned on to this tale by an interview I read with Robert Plant ( Singer for Led Zeppelin) who referenced some of his lyrics from these stories such as the Misty Mountains and Mordor ( Led Zeppelin 2,"Ramble On". I will enjoy my continuing trek of reading The Lord of the Rings. I recommend it to all.
