Book Reviews of The HistorianBook Review: Word Spa! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is wordy but beautifully so. Kostova lulls you with calm, descriptive passages -- like a travelogue -- then ping!, zaps you with a juicy pinprick. She does this again and again to delicious effect. A great book to slink down into a jacuzzi with and be bathed by words. However, probably not your read if you want a quickie.
Book Review: Good book. Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book because I loved Bram Stoker's "Dracula." This book is long (909 pages), but the story that Ms. Kostova weaves is quite good and makes you want to keep reading until you get to the end.
Book Review: This is how The Da Vinci Code should have been written Summary: 5 Stars
The Historian is a delightfully well-written and exciting novel that is, simply, a jpy to read. Many thanks to Elizabeth Kostova! I hope you have a new novel for us to read soon!
Book Review: Christmas Gift Summary: 5 Stars
This novel was on my daughter's Christmas wish list so I got it for her. I asked her what she thinks of it and she said she loves it. I can't wait to read it too.
Book Review: Long but worth it Summary: 5 Stars
Although this book is long, it is totally worth it. It had lots of great twists and turns. I was not looking forward to it being over, despite the length.
