Book Reviews of The Hellbound HeartBook Review: A Damn Good Piece of Art Summary: 4 Stars
I am a fan of all of the Hellraiser movies, so I expected the book to be even better. It really was! Clive Barker plays with grammar just liked the cenobites played with Frank. He has a way of using grammar like no other author that I have read. The details in this novella are great!! Mr. Barker kept me wanting more after I finished the book. I will most definitely buy more of his work.
Book Review: Just as good as the film Summary: 4 Stars
I was a bit surprised to read this book, only to find that it is almost exactly like the movie, where as in most cases a book has more information or more plot, it was almost as if this were a direct adaptation of the movie instead. Doesn't mean it was a bad read, and sure, there were minor differences, but don't expect a 300 page horror epic. I love this story and I enjoy the movie.
Book Review: PINHEAD IS ONE SCARY DUDE Summary: 4 Stars
IF YOU LIKED THE HELLRAISER FILM SERIES, YOU MAY BE A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED, BUT JUST A LITTLE. tHE BOOK IS VERY SHORT AND GRAPHIC, BUT THE CHARACTERS ARE VERY UNDERDEVELOPED. I AM BARKER'S BIGGEST FAN, SO IT PAINS ME TO SAY THAT I WOULDN'T PAY A WHOLE LOT FOR THE BOOK. TRY WEAVEWORLD AND THE DAMNATION GAME INSTEAD. THOSE CANNOT BE BEAT BY ANY LIVING HORROR WRITER!
Book Review: Imaginative and unique. Summary: 4 Stars
Barker explores pleasure and pain and the extent a person will go to for the unltimate experience in this short novel that later became the film 'Hellraiser'. The film is very faithful but even if you have seen it several times already (as I had), there is still more to be found here, those demons and visions that each reader's mind can only create for itself.
Book Review: Brilliant! Mastermind!and Welcome To Hell. Summary: 4 Stars
This is the second book, I have read from this author. When I read it, it's pleased me. Stephen King was right. He is a future of horror! I also saw this movie "Hellraiser".The Cenobites were cool. But, prayed it doesn't happened to you. If you touch the Lemanchand box and puzzled it. You'll be sorry. Ha! Ha! ha!ha!
