Book Reviews of The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching: Transforming Suffering into Peace, Joy, and LiberationBook Review: Excellent introduction to Buddhism Summary: 5 Stars
Together with "For A Future to be Possible," this book is an excellent introduction to Buddhism. Thich Nhat Hanh explains Buddha's teaching in simple terms and in his usual beautiful down-to-earth manner. This is one book I treasure very much and go back to when I am unclear about Buddhist concepts.
Book Review: This book is my favorite posession. Summary: 5 Stars
This book is one of those things that teaches you so much about life that you keep remembering it and repeating it to yourself. It is a source of information, common sense, and deep insight into, not only buddhism, but life. This is as close to a handbook of life as I could imagine. Fine work.-Chris
Book Review: A Life Changing Book Summary: 5 Stars
Master Tich Nhat Hanh explains the very complex tennants of Buddhism in a simple and beautiful way that makes it a joy to read and embrace. He shows us how the Buddha can help us to transform our own suffering into joy and happiness, thereby enhancing our own lives, and the lives of others.
Book Review: Great Teachers Buddha and Thich Nhat Hanh Summary: 5 Stars
Actually, I've already been reading other books on Buddhist teachings before reading this one. But I got a hold of this book to read how he intreprets those teachings, especially on Interdependent Co-Arising.
I wish Master Thich Nhat Hanh and all other practitioners well.
Book Review: Great for scientists and atheists Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great presentation of the basics of Buddhism that is particularly easy to read for those of us who are highly rational and atheistic. TNH presents the core of the buddhist teachings that is easily understood by someone looking for a practice and not a religion.
