Book Reviews of The Handmaid's Tale (Cliffs Notes)Book Review: Loved the book, very futuristic and intriguing. Summary: 4 Stars
Although the end of this book left me wanting more information about the central character and her fate I loved the concept of this book. A great deal of thought has been provoked by Ms. Atwoods futuristic novel and it certainly makes one think about such things as freedom/s and control and the strength of the human spirit. Frightening and interesting at the same time.
Book Review: I though this was a frighting book Summary: 4 Stars
This book, I thought was very frightening. I tried to put myself in Offreds place many times. To have absolutly no freedoms at all is just horrifying. But like many others who read this book I was disappointed at the end. Atwood left to many details unfinished and to many questions unanswered.
Book Review: careful study leads to understanding Summary: 4 Stars
I found this book a interesting mix of poor context and cunning almost unbeliveable genius in both style and imagry. This book is a book for someone who appreaciates the unsaid, and can bear to read the novel more than once to pick up the small intricate elements of the novel.
Book Review: Horrifyingly possible and dangerously intriguing! Summary: 4 Stars
The Handmaid's Tale is a terrifying depiction of life in a religiously warped futuristic America... Despite the initial beliefs, Atwood is commenting more on today's society than on our future world, and this is a wonderful book which ought to be taken seriously... Shocking!
Book Review: A thought provoking novel of our possible destiny. Summary: 4 Stars
Atwood's novel is a must for anyone seriously engaging in the field of literary study. The reader is brilliantly taken on a journey of a scenario that is not totally impossible in our future. Pollution, civil rights, politics, Atwood's novel explores the possibilites....
