Book Review: Entertaining

I am only about 30 pages into the book, but it is very informative and entertaining. I originally read - Bury Me Standing - and though it was thorough and concise, -The Gypsies - is a view of life with the nomadic Rom as seen through the eyes of a young boy. Colorful, whimsical, mysical.

This was purchased as a gift for friends who have loved it and said it was a great edition.
I read this book many, many years ago and it's one of my favorite "keep forever" books. If anyone hasn't read it, they should grab it now!

A first person account of living with gypsies, it provides both a view of a young boy and delves into culture, speech and other aspects of Romani life. This would be great both as a read and a reference book.
