Mr. Ayoob opened my eyes to more than just carrying a concealed weapon. His insite to the mentality of carrying a concealed weapon is amazing. While I haven't finished the book, what I have read has changed my thought prosses about carrying. The way you think, the weapon you choose to carry, how you choose to carry it, were just a few of the eye openers that has changed my thinking.
Thought provoking writing Mr. Ayoob. Great recommendation by my son!

Just got this book. Must say that I was initially hesitant, but after receiving it today and looking at it I can heartily recommend this to anyone. I don't know if you could attend a seminar that would be this thorough. Plus, if you have this book, it will always be an excellent reference source in your library. It's a keeper! overall, well written, it is obvious that author has profound knowledge base and experience, as well as exchanges with other professionals;
several minor orthographic mistakes; occasionally very colloquial expression, which makes the book an easy read;
missed the WALTHER PPS in 9mm and .40 cal mentioned (which should have been out or close to release when book was finished);
bottom line: great book

Massad Ayoob is very well known for his fine writing on police work, self defense, firearms, and firearm use in self defense. This book may be his best yet. It's a clear and through guide to legal and responsible concealed carry, and is a must read for anyone who THINKS about the responsibilities inherent in it. Another well-written and informative book in the Ayoob series. This is good reading for anyone who wants to or already does carry a concealed pistol. It is extremely important to be well informed about carry and this book is loaded with good information from a respected source.
It is an enjoyable and easy read. You will come back and reread portions as helpful reminders.
