Book Review: Hilariously funny. Worth looking for.

It's a simple story about Julian Mann, a comedian-entertainer who loves chasing after booze and women. Wendy, Julian's saintly wife who attempts to stay ignorant of his extracurricular activities and his "Number One" fan, Lilith that he succinctly describes as his "psycho fan".

This is an entertaining read from beginning to end. If you are a British Comedy fan who loves the weirdness of Rik Mayall, Rowan Atkinson or Adrian here, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. Here's hoping that Adrian will take to publishing more novels in the future like fellow compatriot, Stephen Fry.

Summary of The Gobbler

Julian Mann is a drunkard, womanizer and actor whose career is on the skids. His agent has dumped him, he's facing a tax bill for #60,000, he fears his wife might at last succumb to the charms and blandishments of his arch-rival, and he's having to avoid the manic attentions of a female admirer.
