Book Reviews of The Glock In Competition, 2nd editionBook Review: A great read for glock users and Gun Fans Summary: 5 Stars
No other gun has impacted the industry more than the Glock with the possible exception of the 1911. The amount of accessories and add ons can form the Glock to shoot the way you want unlike others that force you to shoot like it wants. This book is a great way to get your feet wet. It's not the end all nore does it try to be. It does give you solid information on some of the more common mods and gives you clear to understand reasons on why you MIGHT want to do it and why you may not. This book is tailored to the competitve shooter USPSA ect but think anyone will learn a lot. Some of the topics covered. KB (AKA Ka-Boom Glock, 3.5 connectors, recoil springs and rods, Bullet velocities and much more. For the price this is a great buy.
Book Review: Specialized Book For Specialized Guns Summary: 5 Stars
Writing a review on this book is hard because I have only competed twice with my own Glock. I think this is one of the most comprehensive books on the subject of competing with a Glock, but it is still general in its material. It covers all aspects of shooting a Glock and what competitions it is best suited for. There is some background on the Glock but not as much as other media. If you want a good book for competing with a Glock pistol you can't go wrong with this one.
Book Review: a great book on this topic Summary: 5 Stars
I've read many a book about this firearm and this one tops the list (all of them to the best of my knowledge). Robin Taylor has the experience and the communication ability to bundle a pile of information into the right size volume and present it readably. I'm going to go shame my areas master class GSSF shooter into picking up his copy and submitting a review here. After all Robins "seattle slug" is in more then one of the "Rhea gun"s that I've seen.
Book Review: Hands-on Guide Summary: 5 Stars
The Glock in Competition whets your appetite. It provides great details about competition via the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation and then helps one prepare for the challenge by detailing the advantages of the various Glock models and how to tweek them for competition. Not an end in itself, it also provides numerous resources for further assistance. An absolutely essential resource for the seasoned shooter or the wannabe. Highly recommended.
Book Review: Excellent book on Glocks and on Shooting Sports Summary: 5 Stars
I learned a lot from this book about both my Glock and about shooting IPSC/IDPA/GSSF/Bowling Pins, and I even got a great tip about switching to VVN350 for increased accuracy. This is a good read for anyone shooting a sport with any pistol, and even better if you shoot a GLcok. IT even covered, in depth why not to use lead in your Glock bbl, why KaBOOms happpen, PF for different bbl lenghts...
