Book Reviews of The Gift of Years: Growing Older GracefullyBook Review: The Gift of Years Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best books I've read in years. Joan Chittester, OSB, continues to use her talents and ability to reach people. As a senior citizen and a religious woman, I was pleased to read this wonderful book, filled with insights on aging. However, it is not limited to the elderly. I would highly recommend this to caretakers of the 'mature' population. I rate this as a five star item!
Book Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
Receiving this book was a gift the most wonderful present! I read in it regularly even though I have fininshed it, and I buy a new one every time I give my copy to a friend! If every person over sixty reads this book, our world will be a better place! It's a practical, do-able, spiritual plan for celebrating life. I even add it to my travel bags and tote it wherever I may go.
Book Review: Gift of Years Summary: 5 Stars
A wonderful and engaging book that is full of wisdom and reflection on the "art of aging" well. It is a must read for those headed into that time of life as well as those who are there already. One of my favorite reflections dealt with the exegis of "emotionally neutral" thoughts and memories! Great stuff! This is one of the best books I have read this year.

Book Review: The Gift of Years: Growing Older Gracefully Summary: 5 Stars
For anyone who may be retiring or celebrating a birthday over 50, this is a perfect gift. I myself have been thanked profusely by the many people to whom I gave this book and they in turn have often chosen to do the same for their friends and family. I have been a fan of Joan Chittister's writing for some time now and this is one of her best books in my estimation.
Book Review: The Gift of Years Summary: 5 Stars
This is a must read for anyone over 60. It was hard to read only one or two chapters per evening so I could really reflect on the content. It gives you common sense answers to things we have had in our hearts and minds and how to sort through the junk. Its not a book to read through at one sitting, its one that we keep at our bedside and read multiple times.
