Book Reviews of The Gate HouseBook Review: Nelson DeMille Summary: 5 Stars
Nelson DeMille's Gold Coast and, now continuing the story, Gate House are my all time favorite reads. They are laugh while you are reading entertainment that you just don't want to stop. I am just about finished Gate House and will be sad when it ends. Get both, read both and you will be wanting more. All his books are very good but these two are the best.
Book Review: Thank you, Nelson DeMille! Summary: 5 Stars
After I read DeMille's introduction to The Gate House, I set it aside until I reread The Gold Coast. Both books are lengthy, but The Gate House was more meaningful after revisiting its prequel. I have read all of DeMille's books and reread a number of them, e.g. the John Corey trilogy. I appreciate the humor of John Sutter & his asides to readers.
Book Review: Excellent - One of DeMille's Best Yet Summary: 5 Stars
From the first sentence, this was a page turner. I simply could not out this book down. It held me to the last page. Whenever I suspected something was going to happen, the book did not disappoint. This is true DeMille at his best and I am now sorry I finished the book. It was great and a definite must read for all Nelson DeMille fans.
Book Review: A pair of gems ... Summary: 5 Stars
What a pleasure to reread The Gold Coast after 18 years, followed by the sequel. DeMille could have written a book where no action took place at all - just 672 pages of the day-to-day life of John Sutter, and I would have been happy. Lucky for the rest of you, he included a great story along with it.
Book Review: Vintage DeMille Summary: 5 Stars
This is DeMille at his best and a great follow-up to the Gold Coast. Nelson DeMille is one of the very few authors who can actually make me laugh out loud as I read him. His characters resonate very close to home for anyone who has spent any time on "the island". I highly recommend it!
