Book Review: A Fresh Twist for Patricia Cornwell

"The Front" following on from "At Risk"-- State Investigator Win Garano is at the beck and call of his boss ,rich,selfish and beautiful District Attorney Monique Lamont.
As in "At Risk" she again orders him to solve a case going back many years, putting both their lives in jeopardy to further her career, Win knowing he will get no thanks from her.
Interesting charactors along the way include Stump and Raggedy Anne.I enjoyed his Nana and Miss Dog again.Every page so full of action, twists and turns.Patricia Cornwell again in top form.

I have been a Patricia Cornwell fan for years and was so excited to get a chance to read her new book The FRONT. As with all of her previous books this one was another masterpiece. She kept me waiting until the very end to see what was going to happen with the characters. The characters in this new series are as lively and unique as her Kay Scarpetta series. I found it considerably hard to put this book down waiting to see what was going to happen on the next page and the next page. I look forward to the next installment from Ms. Cornwell.

Cornwell's ability to come up with characters like Win, Lamont, Stump, and Nana make her one of the most successful writers of any genre.
Throw in the ability to have the reader leaning one direction about a character,then completely suprise you always keeps you on edge, add the always solid forensics and you have a page turner that leaves you wanting the next installment as soon as possible.
The Front gives a solid foundation to another set of characters that I will be looking forward to as much as Scarpetta, Marino,and Lucy.

I have read all of Patricia Cornwell's books. The one thing I like is that she can go in any direction she wants. I love the Scarpetta series. She has now given us an other series to love and wonderful charactors to envelop. It is a rapid fire story. She brings us up to date on Win Garano and his boss the not so likeable DA Monique Lamont. I love the fast pace,and who couldn't love Nana and Miss Dog. I started it and couldn't put it down till I was finished. I can't wait for the next instalment, in anything you write Patricia!!Book Review: Wonderful read

"The Front" Patricia Cornwell's 2nd thriller in the serie's with the new team of Garano,Lamont,Stump and Nana is a story full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing. The main character is Win Garano, nicknamed "Geronimo". He is a great character and has a heart of gold, even though he is soft when it comes to his boss, Lamont. She is a user and there are simply no reasons for the readers to sympathize with her. A fantastic read and I hope this group of characters will be around as long as Scarpetta's team.
