Book Reviews of The FrontBook Review: Cornwell does it again with The Front Summary: 5 Stars
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Cornwell's novellas, since I had heard they had a completely different cast of characters from her Scarpetta series, which I love. I read At Risk, and was captivated by the characters and their relationships, and of course, Cornwell's brilliant plot twists. The newest in the series, The Front, takes them through another unusual case, which requires more super sleuthing by Win Garano, Cornwell's hunky hero. Needless to say, I loved the book, can't wait to see more of Nana, and wonder what roads Win and Monique may travel in the future. Don't wait to get this book; its a quick read and a lot of fun.
Book Review: a book for everyone with this Bostonians praise.... Summary: 5 Stars
Being an Italian Bostonian who knows people who work in the Chelsea scrap yards...and has had their share of encounters with the legend of the Boston Strangler and the presence of the Mafia in the Boston area...I found this book to be 100% integrated with the true history/legend I know. I greatly appreciate the time that must have gone into researching this story. Ms. Cornwell covers every element of a good mystery in this book, as in the first in the series-- At Risk..complex characters, with just enough development, fact based storyline, technological details, and of course a surpise wrapped up from every angle.
Book Review: Loved this book! Summary: 5 Stars
In true Cornwell tradition, characters, scenes, and plot are all terrific. These new characters the author has created are intriguing, captivating and real. Insight into their lives allows the reader to understand certain behaviors displayed throughout the book. An instant fan of Win and Nana, I look forward to learning more about their lives. Not so crazy about the D.A. Monique Lamont, her ego and inability to show any sort of gratitude to Win is grating...however, every story needs its Monique character and I must say this gal is developed with style. Great read, wonderful characters and interesting settings!
Book Review: Another great series has begun Summary: 5 Stars
How does she do it? I can't understand how one person could be so profoundly gifted as Patricia Cornwell. A Scarpetta fan, I would not have believed it possible that Cornwell could develop another cast of characters that would be this instantly appealing if I had not read "The Front". Character development is key to any crime novel and she is top notch! The plot is interesting and flows well, with the twists that are expected of this author. I am an instant fan and can not wait for the next installment. It will be ever so interesting to see if Win will continue to protect the high and mighty Lamont.
Book Review: A #1 Best Seller!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
"The Front" with it's masterful plotting and captivating storyline is Cornwell at her best. Win and Lamont are great characters and wait until you meet Stump! NO ONE beats Cornwell at crafting exciting characters. This is a rapid page turner that I could not put down. The thrilling twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat. Don't miss this one. It is one of those great reads you can't wait to find out what happens but, yet you hate for it to end. We need more books like "The Front". This is the summer read that everyone will be talking about.
I hope this series never ends!
